Welcome, QuestBridge Matches! University of Pennsylvania is excited to announce the arrival of its first QuestBridge matches for the Class of 2030. This year marks a significant milestone, as Penn welcomes 112 students through the QuestBridge National College Match program, the largest group yet. Among these new Quakers, 83 are the first in their families to attend college, highlighting the profound impact of this opportunity.
These incoming students hail from 106 high schools across 24 states, representing a diverse mix of academic interests and backgrounds. They will join The College of Arts and Sciences, The School of Nursing, Penn Engineering, The Wharton School, and The Huntsman Program for International Business Studies. Alongside them will be over 600 current QuestBridge Scholars, who have already handled the path to Penn and are ready to offer support, advice, and encouragement.
As these new students settle into the Penn community, they will immerse themselves in a vibrant environment filled with opportunities for intellectual growth and personal development. They can explore College Houses to find their first friends, collaborate in Penn Libraries during their first study sessions, and participate in Penn First Plus programs to connect with a supportive network of peers and mentors.
The incoming QuestBridge matches bring a unique blend of intellectual curiosity and a strong sense of social responsibility. They are eager to contribute to Penn’s mission of fostering a community where challenge, growth, and kindness thrive. Like the university’s founding father, Benjamin Franklin, they are committed to using their knowledge to benefit not only their communities but the world at large.
To our newest Scholars, Penn extends a warm welcome. You deserve to be here, you belong here, and you are going to achieve great things. Congratulations!
